Pastor Kevin has been married to his lovely wife for 9 years and together they have three children: Lydia, Elise, and Ben. Kevin earned the B.A. in Psychology and Bible from Northwestern College and he is currently working on the M.A. in Biblical Theology from the same school (he took a 2 year hiatus to study Greek at Bethlehem Baptist Church). He loves Jesus and his truth and is committed to serving the Church with it. Besides being a pastor and the proudest minivan owner (family man), Kevin is a former athlete who would rather play sports than watch them—although, with a family, watching is often more realistic! If not sports, you might find Kevin somewhere near Grand Marais, not in the cute shops, but on the Superior hiking trail or in the riverbeds searching for hidden waterfalls. After helping his wife and children to love God more Kevin would love to pass on his enthusiasm for God’s awesome creation.

Pastor Mike serves as the chairman of the elder board, oversees our Community Groups, and serves in a number of ways to help us practice the many “one another” commands of the Scripture. He married his wife Cheryl in 1991 and together they have three children, Ethan, Brynn, and Michael. He is eager to see Christ more fully and also enjoys helping others do the same. He is excited to learn about, teach, and practice skills that might help the people of Glory of Christ be more effective in the Spirit’s hands. Colossians 1:28-29 captures his heart for his life as well as the life of the church: “We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ. For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me.”

Pastor Steve oversees all the worship ministries of the church. As a young child, Steve was brought to an understanding and acceptance of the gospel by the Holy Spirit, through the ministry his mother and 1 John 5:13. His commitment to glorifying God through music is represented in a life-long passion and has been expressed in his many years as a music educator, composer, arranger, professional singer and church musician. Steve and his wife Dawn are nearing the end of the process of raising six sons and are profoundly grateful to the Lord for His work in each of their lives. At Glory of Christ Fellowship we strive, by God’s immeasurable grace, to be a people that spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ both as a corporate body, and in our individual daily lives. We worship a supreme God who is abounding in grace, and infinite in mercy, and so desire to be enthralled with Him day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute, second by second. As the worship leader, I invite you to be taken captive by this vision and join us in drinking from the all-satisfying God who satisfies “…us in the morning with your steadfast love that we may rejoice and be glad all our days (Psalm 90:14).”

Traci serves the elders and the church by providing a variety of administrative helps such as editing the weekly newsletter and the Sunday morning service bulletins. There’s no other place Traci would rather be than at the feet of Jesus. The life she exchanged for His gift of salvation in 1993 as a newly 19 year old single mother, was that of pain, worldly lusts, fear and sorrow. Immediately her life began to transform into a life of joy, hope, peace and deep love. Traci believes the Lord is the answer to everything, for everyone and wants to make sure His gospel is proclaimed for all to hear so they can accept His invitation to a life of wholeness, just as she has received. If you don’t find her loving on her husband Asa, of 5 years or her daughter, Kayla, now a blossoming 17 year old, you will find her reading the Word, singing to her Savior, praying for the lost and broken, fellowshipping with her church family, writing poetry, snapping photos and enjoying God’s creation, for starters. Her life verses are Psalm 27 and Luke 7:36-50, verses 47-50 read: “Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.” Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” Then He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

Shelley serves the elders and the church by providing a variety of administrative tasks. She is married to her husband Richard since 1990. They have two grown children with spouses and 4 grandchildren. Shelley loves worshipping her Savior and enjoys helping and giving to others. She has many favorite verses, this is just one of them: “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:11-13).
