Catherine's Story

The Bible, missions, and a close relationship with Christ have always been integral to my life. Languages and linguistics have also been a deep love since I began to talk, and when I look back, it seems only natural for me to merge these in the service of Bible translation.

While in high school, I overheard a comment which caused me to pray about the possibility daily for two years. However, I didn't make the jump of commitment until one month into my freshman year of college when a series of God-ordained coincidences finally pushed me to recognize the Lord's passion for Bibleless peoples and my ability to do something about it. Since graduating from college, my love for the Bibleless peoples of the world has continued to grow, and I am excited about what the Lord has in store for me as a translator in Papua New Guinea!
