Glory of Christ encourages each of its members and regular attendees to reach out with the love of Christ to their families, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and others. We believe that one of the keys to joy in Christ is sharing the love of Christ with those who need it. If you would like to learn more about how to share your faith or your personal testimony with others, please contact Asa Veek at firstname.lastname@example.org or Dave Fergus at email@example.com.
Additionally, we encourage our Community Groups to join together in reaching out to their neighborhoods or otherwise reaching out with the love of Christ to those who need Him. If you are interested in participating with others in this kind of outreach, please see our “Community” page and contact your local Community Group leader.

Somalis in Minnesota (Arrive Minnesota)
The mission of Arrive Minnesota (a subsidiary of Transform Minnesota) is “to carry out God’s command to welcome and bring lifelong transformation to refugees and immigrants in Minnesota.” They “accomplish [their] mission by providing compassionate and holistic support to uprooted people in our communities as we collaborate with churches and community members. [They] empower, support and encourage one another to be God’s agents of love, hope and care to our new neighbors.
Their vision is “to see refugees and immigrants transformed economically, socially, and spiritually, as we are transformed together by the Gospel.” They accomplish this mission in a variety of ways, including the ministry of S.A.L.T. which stands for Somali Adult Literacy Training.
Glory of Christ is privileged to have David and Carmen Gunderson in our midst as they seek to reach Somalis with the good news of Jesus Christ through the ministry of S.A.L.T. under the authority of Arrive Minnesota. Please join us in giving thanks to God for David and Carmen, and in praying for their ministry.
Training Leaders International
Throughout the world there are millions of pastors who are doing the difficult work of leading the church with little or no sound, theological training. Training Leaders International (TLI), seeks to help meet this need in three ways. First, TLI sends short-term teams to provide basic theological education. Second, TLI serves as an agency for qualified teachers interested in teaching overseas. Third, TLI starts theological schools in places where formal education is lacking or deficient.
It is our privilege at Glory of Christ be to the home church for Ethan Larson who works full-time with TLI and travels to various parts of the world to teach pastors. Ethan further serves on a “scouting” team that investigates potential knew sights and either gives the green, the yellow, or the red light. Ethan is married to his prayerful wife, Elysia, and together they have four children: Gretchen, Peter, Elizabeth, and Amy. You can learn more about TLI and lend your support to Ethan at www.trainingleadersinternational.org.
Amos and Meredith Anderson are passionate about people coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and being discipled into mature, Christian leaders. Amos grew up in a Christian home and was led to Christ by his mother at age 9. “I have felt called to ministry since high school but was always kind of unsure exactly what that would be,” he says. During college Amos had the opportunity to participate in four-month international internship to South America. The churches visited, the experiences had, and the ministries performed confirmed for Amos God’s calling on his life to international ministry.
Meredith grew up in a Christian home where her parents laid a solid foundation and a basic understanding of Jesus. Her father led her to the Lord at age 5. As she grew up, Meredith’s desire to know Christ better grew as well, and she eventually felt His calling on her life to consider international ministry. Several short-term mission trips later, Meredith solidified her decision to be used by God as His ambassador.
The Andersons also feel God has uniquely gifted them for church planting ministry in Eastern Europe. Amos is a shepherding visionary and a teacher. He has a heart for seeing people move towards Christ. Meredith is gifted administratively and feels passionate about using people and resources efficiently to achieve optimum effectiveness and productivity. She also has the gift of hospitality and enjoys opening her home and making people feel welcome and loved by providing a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
You can learn more about the Andersons and their ministry at www.worldventure.com/sslpage.aspx?pid=639.
Papua New Guinea
Catherine Rivard is currently working as on a Bible translation team in Papua new Guinea. Supported by Glory of Christ Fellowship in prayer, she writes, “The Bible, missions, and a close relationship with Christ have always been integral to my life. Languages and linguistics have also been a deep love since I began to talk, and when I look back, it seems only natural for me to merge these in the service of Bible translation. While in high school, I overheard a comment which caused me to pray about the possibility daily for two years. However, I didn't make the jump of commitment until one month into my freshman year of college when a series of God-ordained coincidences finally pushed me to recognize the Lord's passion for Bibleless peoples and my ability to do something about it. I haven’t looked back since. Since graduating from college, my love for the Bibleless peoples of the world has continued to grow, and I am excited about what the Lord has in store for me as a translator in Papua New Guinea!”
